    Drew joined Thompson Insurance in August of 2016 as a Commercial Insurance and Surety Bond agent. He enjoys working with a variety of different type accounts but especially enjoys working with Construction Risks and being a valuable Surety Bond resource. In addition, he works with various types of industries by helping them lower their, “Total Cost of Risk” by teaching our Insureds solid Risk Management Principles and on-boarding them onto the Thompson Risk Management Center which provides resources and insight into OSHA and HR compliance as well as Safety Training and materials.  Drew has also made a point to educate himself on emerging risks like Data Privacy/ Data Breach Insurance, by earning a designation as a Certified Cyber Risk Manager (cyRM) which has provided additional expertise and knowledge about very often misunderstood line of coverage and growing exposures for all businesses.

    Drew Gunn is a Montgomery native and attended Saint James School until his graduation in 2005. Upon graduation from Saint James, Drew attended the University of Alabama. While at The University he double-majored and obtained undergraduate degrees in Advertising & PR, American Studies, as well as Master’s Degree in Consumer Sciences. He was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. In addition to his studies at Alabama he managed the sales department of the University of Alabama’s student newspaper, The Crimson White, where he and his team broke many sales records. Upon graduation he moved to Nashville and then to Birmingham where he worked, in sales, at the top TV stations and a Digital Advertising Agency in those markets. In 2015, he married his wife Adrienne Thompson Gunn. They live together with their dog, Barnie, in Mountain Brook. In his free time Drew enjoys hunting and fishing, playing guitar and spending time with his family on Lake Martin.
